Sailor Moon the Movie: Reports from Mars and Co.
Hiii all. Sorry, I’ve be ridiculously with my new job and other obligations, I haven’t been able to even touch Tumblr consistently. So I’ll be handing over the reigns to Dave’s new promotion person/roomie. This blog will still be open, but pretty much as inactive as it’s been since I started work. Once the new Tumblr is up, we’ll announce it on here and the official Facebook page.
Good luck new Cris, I hope you all enjoy part 2 of the movie when it’s up (I’ll be in it!), and here’s crossing fingers that my company will get to pick up Sailor Moon’s licensing for apparel. ;)
This is Chris (a.k.a. Raye/Sailor Mars) signing off.
Love you all and thank you again for watching!
taisez-vous-je-reve asked: Will the movie eventually be on youtube or some other website where people who don't go to the conventions can see it?
Yes! Sorry I didn’t get to this earlier, but it will eventually go up on YouTube. People who have donated to the expenses for the film will also be given a copy of the film on DVD with bloopers as a thank you present.
I know I’ve been terribly absent, but life gets really busy, and July has been stuffed with turning 26, job hunting, family, emotional stress and a lot of booze.
BUT! There is some news for me to give this time around! It’s no promise, but while I’ve submitted a panel for lolita fashion culture to New York Comic Con, I’ve checked with David on the possibility of screening the movie there. David just finished the really heavy green screened parts, though there might need to be smaller editing in those. Still, that means that if we find no further interruptions in production, the movie is well on schedule and should be done before the convention. There’s no promises that it will be shown at Comic Con (as they do not confirm anything until August 7th, I believe), but we are trying. So fingers crossed! If not, we will be looking at the closest bigger cons after that for a screening.
sailormonsterpony asked: are you really making a Movie?! will it be out on DVD?
DVD’s are only available as a gift for donations on the website, but we are hoping to show it around some anime conventions after the editing is complete. There’s pretty much only one person editing the work right now, so it’s going slowly, but the estimated completion is currently looking to be about August if there are no further interruptions.
MB: QUICK! I NEED A PHONE BOOTH!
David: Oh, I should have had him like rip his shirt open there!
MB: Just have his tuxedo on under there? He wears formal clothes even under his formal clothes.
Like what you see? Please support the Sailor Moon movie!
Oh, I like this edit! Almost as nice as it felt to get all of that off. Had to go thick, didn’t I?
Nice work!
